Most of the remaining puzzle pieces really fell into place in 2013. Tim and Abigail fixed the fireplace so the smoke went up the chimney instead of into the cabin, Tim and Jerry built the deck railing, Tim and Jose-Luis finished plumbing everything and hooked up the water tank to the most beautiful shower ever, and all the furniture was fully assembled.
With all the new shelving and dressers and whatnot, we now had a place for most of the STUFF. It took months to put all that STUFF in drawers and cabinets and bins, but eventually, the interior really began to look amazing.
2013 also marked the beginning of the current era, the era of relaxation and plenty of cold beer pulled from coolers filled with blocks of schlepped up dry ice and day hikes and leisurely climbing and random upkeep and taking on our own personal projects that are meant to make the cabin an ever more enjoyable and comfortable place to visit.
